Privacy Policy

BarsPattaya (barspattaya.com) is an independent nightlife guide to Pattaya. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the site and the choices you have. We do not sell personal data and we do not run user accounts.

What we collect

• Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are visited and which links are clicked. Google Analytics is not loaded before you make a choice, advertising features are disabled, and we only record page paths and link destinations, not the text you type or your email address.
• Your consent choice. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every page.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics (only after consent) for aggregated usage statistics.
• CARTO map tiles on map views, which receive your IP address when tiles load.
• Google Places photos for some venue images.
• Links to LINE, WhatsApp, booking and dating partners. Some outbound links are affiliate links; if you click one, that partner's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on their site.

Google user data (BarsPattaya Analytics app)

BarsPattaya operates a small internal Google OAuth application used only by the site owner. It is not offered to the public and visitors never sign in to it.

• Data accessed: with the read-only scope analytics.readonly, the app reads aggregated Google Analytics 4 reports (page views, sessions, traffic sources and link clicks) and property configuration for the barspattaya.com property only. Google sign-in provides the basic account identity needed to authorise that access. The app does not access Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
• How it is used: solely to understand which pages and links visitors use so that the site's content can be improved. It is not used for advertising, profiling individuals, or training AI models.
• Storage and protection: the OAuth refresh token is stored only on the owner's own computer in the standard Google Cloud credentials folder, never in the website, its source code or any public server. Reports are fetched over HTTPS and kept only as long as needed for the analysis.
• Sharing: Google user data is not sold, transferred or shared with any third party.
• Retention and deletion: access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which invalidates the stored token. Locally saved reports are deleted when no longer needed, or on request via the contact address below.

BarsPattaya's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You can change or withdraw analytics consent at any time using Analytics settings (also in the site footer). Withdrawing removes the Google Analytics cookies we set. You can also clear your browser's site data. Analytics data is kept for Google Analytics' configured retention period and then deleted automatically.
